How it works

5 schools. 10 speakers. 1 winner.

Two students from each LIU school take the stage to give a five-minute talk on a topic that could change the world. The audience decides who wins.

  1. Apply

    Pitch your talk idea through the online form before November 20.

  2. Get selected

    Your school's Dean's Office picks 2 speakers from each school.

  3. Talk for 5 minutes

    One stage, one clock. Explain a world-changing idea so everyone gets it.

  4. Live vote

    The audience votes live. Every vote is OTP-verified; instructor votes carry extra weight.

How the winner is chosen: students and instructors in the audience vote from their phones after verifying with a one-time password (OTP). Instructor votes are weighted higher, so the result reflects both the crowd and academic judgment.
